Returns, Refunds & Buyer Protection

What our buyer protection covers, what it doesn't, and how to request a refund.

Last updated August 31, 2026

Every purchase on VirtuFlea Market is covered by buyer protection. Here's exactly what that means.

1. Overview

VirtuFlea Market is a peer-to-peer marketplace: every item is listed and sold by another user, not by us. This Policy explains what our buyer protection covers, what it does not cover, and how to request a refund. It works alongside our Terms of Service.

2. Buyer protection โ€” what's covered

Every purchase made through this site's checkout is covered by buyer protection. You are eligible for a refund if:

  • Not as described. The item you received is materially different from the listing โ€” wrong item, wrong size, undisclosed damage, or a condition significantly worse than described or shown in photos.
  • Not received. The Seller confirmed shipment or hand-off but the item never arrived within a reasonable time and the Seller cannot provide valid proof of delivery.
  • Counterfeit or misrepresented authenticity. The item was advertised as authentic/branded but is not.
  • Seller never fulfilled. The Seller confirms the sale but fails to ship or hand off the item within the timeframe stated in the listing, or within 7 days if none was stated.

3. What's not covered

Buyer protection does not cover:

  • Buyer's remorse โ€” simply changing your mind after receiving an accurately described item.
  • Normal wear, flaws, or condition details that were clearly disclosed in the listing's description or photos before you purchased.
  • Damage that occurred after the item was delivered to you or your carrier of choice for return shipping.
  • Items where you and the Seller agreed to, and completed, payment or delivery outside of this site's checkout โ€” off-platform payments are against our Terms and are not protected.
  • Delays caused by shipping carriers once the Seller has provided proof of drop-off or shipment, beyond the Seller's reasonable control.

A Seller may separately choose to offer their own return window for reasons outside the categories above (for example, general returns for any reason); if so, that Seller's stated policy on the listing applies in addition to, and does not reduce, the buyer protection above.

4. How to request a refund

To request a refund:

  • Contact the Seller first. Message the Seller through their seller page or the contact details on your order and describe the issue with photos if relevant. Most issues are resolved directly and quickly this way.
  • Report the order. If the Seller does not respond within 3 business days, or you cannot reach a resolution, raise it from the order in your account (Orders tab) or through your Whop account's payment support options.
  • We review. We may ask you and the Seller for details or evidence (photos, messages, tracking) to assess eligibility under this Policy.

5. Timeframes

Report a problem with an order within 72 hours of delivery or hand-off (or, for an item never received, within a reasonable time after the expected delivery window has passed). Claims made significantly later may be denied unless the delay was reasonable under the circumstances. Once a refund is approved, funds are typically returned within the timeframe your original payment method requires to post a refund, which can take several business days.

6. Refund method

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method used at checkout, in the original currency and amount (or the eligible portion of it, for example if only part of an order is affected). We do not issue cash or off-platform refunds.

7. Cancellations before fulfillment

If a Seller has not yet shipped or handed off an item, either the Buyer or the Seller may request a cancellation. Once an item has been marked as shipped or handed off, the transaction is treated as fulfilled and any issue is handled as a refund request under this Policy rather than a cancellation.

8. Seller obligations

As a Seller, you agree to:

  • Respond to buyer messages and refund requests promptly, and in good faith.
  • Issue or accept a refund where a claim is validly covered under this Policy.
  • Provide proof of shipment or hand-off when asked, to support your side of a claim.
  • Not retaliate against a Buyer for filing an eligible claim โ€” doing so is a violation of our Prohibited Items & Seller Conduct Policy.

Repeated valid claims against a Seller may result in warnings, listing removal, or suspension under our Prohibited Items & Seller Conduct Policy.

9. When we can't resolve it

If a Buyer and Seller cannot reach a resolution and our review does not resolve the claim, either party may escalate a dispute over a specific charge through the payment dispute or resolution tools available in their Whop account, which operate independently of us for matters concerning the payment itself.

10. Contact

Questions about this Policy can be sent through the support option in your Whop account for this Marketplace, or by messaging the operator's Whop profile directly from any listing or seller page on this site.
